One of the best secrets to creating (and keeping) a positive mindset is carefully choosing who and what you surround yourself with. We all know that having people around us who are upbeat and optimistic increases our own optimism but we can't always eliminate people from our lives who may be, let's say, somewhat difficult to deal with.

In addition to WHO we surround ourselves with, WHAT we put into our thoughts is a huge factor in our happiness. There is so much negativity and bad news on every newsfeed, Facebook post, and TV screen (don't even get me started on this year's election!) so to balance that, I like to purposefully create an atmosphere of positivity around me each day. Here are some easy ways to pump more positivity into your life - these are just some of the MANY books, blogs, etc. you will find when you do a google search for "happiness" "positivity" or "inspiration"!
